Overview

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES manufactures and designs post-tensioning systems to increase or restore the load-carrying capacity of various structures. Bonded multistrand post-tensioning systems are widely used in bridge and transportation infrastructure, as well as commercial building construction.

Each multistrand tendon can accommodate up to fifty-five 0.5” or 0.6” strands encased in PT-Plus™ plastic or steel ducts, fully bonded using high-performance grout. This system is particularly effective for large structural members, offering enhanced span lengths, increased load-carrying capacity, and reduced deflection

Multistrand Anchorages

Multistrand systems are tailored to meet diverse project specifications, including:

  • Encapsulation for optimum corrosion protection
  • Couplers for connecting installed tendons
  • Inspectable for post-grouting inspection
  • Electrically isolated configuration to prevent corrosion or monitor tendon integrity
  • Loops for areas lacking dead-end access

Sheathing & Corrosion Protection

Our PT-PLUS™ duct system features corrugated plastic ducts and couplers designed for easy installation and provide positive sealed mechanical connections for increased durability. Advantages of the PT-PLUS™ system include:

  • Enhanced corrosion protection
  • Improved tendon fatigue resistance
  • Reduced sensitivity to stray electric currents
  • Reduced tendon friction
  • Electrical isolation when used with special anchorages
  • Airtight and watertight properties
